i need to export the dropship model to any map

It's designed not to write more characters than were originally in the string. There is data after those strings and writing over it might lead to exceptions. I'll look into what the maximum range on those strings are though. It might be something like 12 or 16 characters consistently. But right now, in the new version you can prematurely end a string with a button that adds the null character. But being able to slowly add one character is indeed a bug.

I believe that Brimstone is working on importing the Spirit into Bloodgulch. He recently told me that it was not doable in Bloodgulch, but perhaps the Island mod. I haven't seen him in a while though to get an update, although I believe he was making progress.

Sword swapped BSP's... it's not bloodgulch... The map name is though...

If he swapped "BSPs", as far as I understand, that does make the map closer in design with SC as opposed to Bloodgulch. Now, because it is a mod designed for multilayer, there are some differences, so it isn't EXACTLY the same, but from a design point of view, the layout of the map without any objects should closely resemble, if not be, SC.

Aside from this, If Bloodgulch is in the map, first it would probably fit inside the Island, and If it wasn't inside the Island, like say out under the ocean, would you be able to get inside of it through the same means as a Pelican into the shaft?

Am I getting this right? If I'm not, please tell me, as most of this is speculation on my part (I am still fairly new).

Just because The island looks like SC doesn't mean that a Vehicle from SC would work.
It's still strange that you can't rename it to W-Driver and drive it.

:D your registered, aye but you where talking about BRIMSTONE importing Spirt (Guess, Covie drop-ship?) So just because it was the island wouldn't change the ability to change the name of the Driver

1) You are linking two of my posts that are unrelated, and bringing them together. Whatever purpose this is for, I cannot see, but the two posts, when created, were not in relation to each other.

My first post was to let you guys know that someone who is not active on the forums was also working on the problem, and a summary of what he had accomplished.

In my second post, again, I was just saying what I knew about BSPs, and again, I didn't talk about vehicles anywhere in the post. I was trying to get an understanding of BSPs. If your post following was incorporating the topic theme, my post prior was not.

2) Aside from mentioning the dropship, I did not say anything about it being drivable, ect. Did I? Find where I said that, quote it and explain it please. And if you post the whole post again, that's not helping. It's just regurgitating what I said.

3) Again I ask that we drop this. It seems that it was a mistake on my part to give this information, so can we leave it?

It's been a while, and I have another idea about this topic.

I have been browsing and I have found 2 CE maps that have a fully functional Spirit. They are Hugeass and Icewing. Could we just take the model, bitmaps, ect. from one of these or both? Would that make it easier?

mhmhmhhmm i found a halo-full map that have not completely functional spirit dropships, but isnt easier to convert?

There is no such thing as "won't work in Bloodgulch" or "easy/hard to convert and import."

It's the same process no matter what object, no matter what map.
