The Spaceship Contest is Open!
Please refer to the first post for details.
Galaxy Wars: Special Edition will include all the vehicles from 1.0 in addition to the vehicles from this contest. So if you want to use a vehicle from 1.0, do a swappity-doodle and there 'ya go!

Bump.
I need a list of spaceship engineering contestants. Please tell me if you're interested.
We were talking about adding covi cruisers / marathon ships and BattleStar Galactica ships. If you have an idea but lack the resources to actually make the vehicle you want, post the actual model file you want to use and give details about:
1. Primary weapons locations and type
2. Secondary weapons locations and type
3. Pelican/ghost/banshee driver type
4. Where the pilot is located, and how they are positioned
and any other details you want, and I will attempt to build the vehicle to your description. The best way of doing this is to first provide a 3d studio / gmax / wings3D / blender model and we can work from there.
I would personally like to have a huge stationary turret with homing missile launchers that fire in succession. Once I can get 3d Studio to start working again, I'll work on one.

I've been working on several new spacecraft, but I don't see anyone else submitting spaceships, so I'm going to extend the deadline until Galaxy Wars 1.0 is finished, which will probably be in a month or two from now.

This can be done in two ways. Either take an existing vehicle (from CE, 3, 2, Full or Demo) and change its shaders, weapons, body parts and handling/maneuvering, or create a brand new vehicle in CE or by importing a new mod2, coll and antr made in a modelling program. (But I don't think we have a mac equivalent of Tool, a program that is used to compile tags from exported graphics files. If we had this, making new content for Demo would be possible without CE.)
