Eschaton has a custom image converter to take basic image information and create DXT formatted images (which is what Halo uses). The math involved in the compression is complex and Eschaton doesn't always produce the best result. In high contrast sections the errors are going to be more obvious due to the nature of how the compression works. There's a more in-depth explanation of what's involved here. You might try with HMT or some other tool.

I'll tell you what screws up when you import images into different types of bitmaps:

DXT1: Nothing.
DXT2/3: Image screws up, mask/alpha is still fine.
DXT4/5: Image is fine, mask/alpha screws up.
A8R8G8B8: Nothing screws up! That's why I use it, but it takes up more memory.

I don't know about the other image types, since I never use those anyways.

Is it because i didn't use the mask but selected the image itself so it became fuzzy?

Well its HUD and it involves bitmaps so it something of my creation that involves bitmaps. So posting here is correct

Better, and as Rofl said. In the light, its hardly visible and doesnt' get in the way of your view. In the dark, its more visible.

The warthog reticle looks familiar... Ya know what? That map with all the bitmaps, reminds me TOO much of snowgulch. Im not saying you plagiarized. But it seems to resemble it.
