Mac Gaming Mods

Well my friend is trying play Halo: Combat Evolved Trial on Windows,
And its saying to run 'DXDAIG', And it wont work.
Any ideas, or is there something i should do?
My computer isn't the fastest computer, but its alright

Halo has many different names

On WINDOWS, Halo DEMO is known as Halo TRAIL . Mac apps cant play on windows and window apps cant play on mac. Halo DEMO is for Mac. Halo TRAIL is for windows

No, you can't run halo DEMO on windows cause its for mac.

Halo "Demo" for PC is never called Halo demo its called Halo trail


In short: You can't play mac apps on windows or visa versa

That, my friend, is called durka dur, the person who posted it must've been an idiot. Like Sugarlumps said, Mac=Demo, Windblows=trial.

Your friend need "upgrade" his graphic card. Run DXDIAG, see your graphic card type(mine is ATI Raedon on my windows) then search on google. Upgrade, then play.

Run dxdiag, and make sure the hardware acceleration is on. It fucks up sometimes :S

If you have to, use 3dx something-or-other (I forgot the exact name, sorry) that lets you turn off shaders. You run Halo Trial through that program and it has many many options for you to select in customizing the processing levels.
