What is QAR?

what is QAr and what does it do? is it like pearl for demo? can someone teach me how to use it?
btw i have a mac :( ----)

QAR is the original CE/Full->Demo converter app. Pearl is the new and improved version. It's better and makes QAR obsolete. Both require you to have full version maps.

If your on here then i think its obvious you have a mac. Just saying to everyone "i have a mac" in your posts.

Why must you comment on obscure parts of the post like this? This is why topics veer off course.

So yes, halodude - as Altimit said, Pearl's function is the same as QAR's; to convert CE/Full maps to Demo. The only difference is that Pearl is much better at it.

Bottom line: Screw QAR, use Pearl.

That was one of the main design goals when I was making Pearl. I did extensive testing and innovating with Map Rebuilding, and it really paid off.

Not sure if that is a serious question or not, but all of Pearl is mine; it does not use code from any other applications like Eschaton and such.
66 pages of my own code and loads of hours went into creating Pearl from scratch.

On the day before pearl was released i spent 2 hours QARing a map that was corrupted and i didn't know it! :(

Slow Computer??

My eMac took ages to convert with Harbinger and QAR. Not hours but some minutes.
