Because, back in prehistoric times, the game we know today as "Halo" was released on the original Xbox, with a 2 player campaign co-op option. There's even an effe tag for the respawning.

Yeah so why are the effe still in the game....

Why shouldn't they be in the game? It was a simple conversion from the Xbox to start with. Not like it's a big deal.

The only difference between Halo 1 Xbox files and PCs is: header changes, index header changes, and the use of compressed model data.

If only we could activate coop mode....

Co-op in campaign... what would happen in the cinematics xD Two master chiefs? New dialogue? Doubt it, that probably why it's not for mac... confusion, and the lack of two mouses and keyboards, as stated before. That would have still been pretty cool, though.

There are two masterchiefs in halo 1 xbox >_>
