MAKING A MOD MODDERS NEEDED

Post by new001 » Thu Jun 15, 2006 4:02 pm

ok i had a great idea. i have found out that you cannot use anything outside a specified area when you make mods.my idea is tomake two adjoining bloodgulch maps side by side. add pellicans and some other new stuff. then we would have a big arena big enough to be able to use large flying vehicles like the pelican in.

ok for this mod I'm gonna need some good modders.I need modders who can put pellies in bloodgulch. somebody to join our two gulches together. also i think making a mod designed for pelicans and leaving the pelly itself as merely transport would be stupid. I need somebody to help me redisign the pelicans. i want some kind of turret on those things, i also want to modify the look of the pelican. i know that the grey pellies are a classic. but I want to make something new. I need somebody who is good with graphics.

contact me for more info. PM me or just post it here.

So, how do you plan on conjoining two BSP's?

You could just shrink the models down...

Making a new map? Making a new collision model?

I still don't understand how the BSP works entirely, so you can count me out.

Hell, most of the advanced PC modders don't even understand collision models.

Ahem. Wouldn't we all be able to do that? That would be fun to play, but extremely hard to build. I think the hardest part would be to get the Pelican into Bloodgulch, since it is not built into the map. As for joining two Bloodgulch maps together, I imagine that would be possible, but extermely diffictult also.

Keep working on it.

Putting the pelcian in is easy. The collision models as you sword said are the hard part.

Umm, why not just mod the hell out of bloodgulch itself? That would be easier... And, you aren't going to have much luck combining TWO BSP tags... You would need to null out and add stuff... It would be way to complicated. Save yourself a head ach, and just mod the hell out of the Demo Bloodgulch....

Show us you've made some progress then yes. But if you just want a bunch of people to make a mod for you no. The project lead is supposed to be the one who knows the most.

definently sounds cool. of course, syperiums right. why dont you just mod BG to the max? then get Halo custom edition, join thier forum, and talk about this to them. then your problem is solved. simple as that. :D
