HDM's MOD (this is a mod idea)

CALLING ALL GOOD MODDERS!!!

Please make this mod. If I could mod well I would make it but I can't mod that well so together let's make this HDM's Mod. Get all peeps who can mod really well (AID, Sparky, Moxus, Fonzie, That Guy, RXA, etc...) to help make this huge mod.

Title:
HDM's MOD

Best Gametype:
Team Slayer (Maximum Kills or mod in more than 50)

Weapons:
Use halo 3 weapons (ALL the weps except for the Forerunner beam) from RXA's firefight or other Halo 3/Reach mods. (Plz do not mod them to do anything else but their normal use) This list includes:

Battle Rifle
Assualt Rifle
Pistol
SMG (dual)
Sniper Rifle
Shotgun
Flamethrower
Turret
Rocket laucher
Spartan Laser
Plasma Rifle
Plasma Pistol
Beam Rifle
Red Plasma Rifle
Carbine
Needler
Energy Sword
Fuel Rod
Brute Spiker
Gravity Hammer
Brute Grenade Launcher

Vehicles:
Import hornet, both types of hogs, a shee, a ghost, a scorpion, a mongoose, and Sparky's Galaxy Wars Outpost Omega pelican. (Except for Sparky's peli and a ghost (with boost), get the rest of the vehicles from the Sandtrap v2 mod). Challege: Make a drivable Elephant with the turrets and weapon spawn. Also make a brute chopper when the tags are released by... Team Salvo? (not sure about name)

Map:
Use the CE Icefields map (that Sparky used for Ultimate Icefields) or use CE map Timberland

Spartan Model:
Doesn't matter much. If you can use the Spartan characters from Sandtrap v2 that would be great.

AI:
Try and make 2 versions. One without AI. One with RESPAWNING AI (both human and covenant). (Can you make place amount specified below of AI's on both teams with covenant on Blue and human on Red)

Human AI (in ratio to each other):
Marine = 10
ODST = 5
Sergeant Johnson (try and find his tag in a campaign) = 1
Spartans = 2

Covenant AI (in ratio to each other):
Grunts: 10
Jackals: 10
Normal Elites: 3
Hunters: 2
Gold Elites/Arbiter: 1

Other:
Try and include the Jetpack feature from RXA firefight (his mod is ridiculously difficult to dissemble using Eschaton). Try making other Halo Reach Armor Abilities (Mainly armor lock, active camo, sprint, and hi-jack... ok i know hijack is not a Reach AA but try and make it one)



NOTE:
I know this is gonna take FOREVER but I already got AID and Sparky (who says he'll help in 2011) to help me begin this mod. Unfortunately one big risk will be the sheer size of this mod. I'm worried that this map might overload the Halo engine. :( But if we could make this mod... it's gonna be SWEET. Btw. AI is completely optional. ADD AFTER THE BASE MOD IS MADE!!!



I'm open to all suggestions and criticism. Don't make lame comments. This is a serious post.

thats a horrible, overused idea for a mod. any chump with basic modding skills can make that.

hear if you want some good CE tags just convert them or rip from all the crappy CE mods we have now. also, don't assume whos a good modder, im pretty sure RXA and AID are rippers and converters...
and that guy's mods can be made in 5 minutes, atleast the ones i saw.
so yeah, no AI's, and yeah... i would do this myself. CMT has my favorite halo 2/3 weapons, but(too much) ripped CE is not welcome here.

K... I think the general idea of the mod is pretty easy, its just the good graphics and extra stuff I'm aiming for. I hope Sparky's soon to release "Zeus" modder will help with this mod.

Mota-Lev: Uh.. yeah you can be on same team... Grunt Attack, RXA Invasion. Both have RED and BLUE AI.

Flaming Bunnies: Fine... go create this mod yourself...

yah thats CE, converted to demo. the problem is, we cannot create encounters. when i get my mac back ill convert CMT spv2 beta to demo (it will crash, unless you have full) and you can rip them. i ask you donot release mods with CE unless you balance it with YOUR own content, like, dont make it obious you have CE in the mod. look at one of aids mods, those are pretty much a bunch of RIPS. if you see that b30 one it lags like hell. also, i reccomend finding something original to do. if the great battle of gulch or whatever is converted, i could do something with those AI's. heh, i never thought of this. hmm...

Yeah I was thinking of ripping from Full or creating a new skin for a old weapon and create tags that are really close to the real thing. One big thing I'm going to do is to delete all unnecessary tags. Some tags are run during game play but are totally unneeded and causes some lag and jumping of the game. Or I can try and compress the game code (I doubt I can).



Also AID says he is working on UPGRADING the Halo Demo Engine so it reduces lag and increases gameplay. He said he should be able to actually change Halo Demo. If his idea works... that's gonna take modding to a whole new level because of the extra room we get for tags.


At Mgalekgolo:

I think it depends on amount CE content or be like Sparky and create a LOT of the stuff your gonna make. Didn't you make a AI mod before?

i made an AI mod about 2 months ago, and it was not at all CE. i used a tank and made it hit a boulder or something to turn over since you cant rotate itmcs (this was before i got the spawner working).
this is an example of my CE (i dont have CE anymore, i have to fix my windows)
find my bipeds with HUD's on HDM. see, i made all the content except for miranda keyes. that was just a random thing i added. if you have ever tried to play something as another character, they have no health, shield, ect. i added that. so yeah, thats what i did with CE. it also has a new bsp, which suckz

Look, this is a really stupid idea for a mod. it's been done literally hundreds of times already.
Heres something to look at.

CE import mods=Gay.
AI mods=Most probably gay, but I know one exception.
H2/3/Reach mods=Gay.

CE Import Mods+AI+H2/3/Reach stuff=Gayer than a simile describing how gay it is.

If you wan't AI and H3 or Reach weapons, get a Xbox. Noone is gong to help you with this.
