You could swap it with the "black" bitmap if it references a bitmap in case nulling out is bad.

Maybe no reticle is a good idea, since both arms are outwards, like with holding the flag, it seems unnecessary.

I forgot to mention I uploaded an alpha a few days ago fixing a couple of bugs.

Can some of you test the mods feature and see if it works all fine? Just install a mod in the menubar: Mods -> Install Mod -> pick one. Then, start a game, select the Modded map. If you have your ports forwarded and no firewall issues, and create an internet game, it should up in the lobby after you refresh the list too.

Hi nil, the pw protected server is a server you don't want randoms in I assume? =(

If it still doesn't run, try to go in in the menubar in Finder: Go -> Go to Folder... and copy and paste this into the text field:

~/Library/Application Support/HaloMD/GameData/Maps

And hit go. Finder should open a Maps folder for you. Let me know if this comes up or not.

Would it now be possible to go the halo 2 route, where you can just select a server and if you don't have the mod you are offered the download?

It looks like it's already somewhat integrated. Nil and 002 and some randoms came on today for a bit.

@nil Well I tried to run two instances of haloMD, but that didn't work. So I just used MD to host the Gephy "mod" and connected with another version of normal halo. It connected with no problems, reading it as gephy (However you spell the real level). I'd be open to try hosting a server tomorrow at around 2 pm EST for a bit if you want to do some real testing.

I won't release it now because I have no idea whether or not it fixes Guest's bug. I need this to be confirmed.

I've tested it with some people, on Sparky's log mod. Definitely not free at that time tomorrow.

Thinking about this carefully, I'm actually hesitant about Windows. One part of me really wants this to remain mostly Mac-exclusive. While I don't mind a small number of PC users being able to join servers in "some way" (this is already possible), I do have a problem if the majority of users playing become PC users. Besides, they already have Trial - many people still play that.
I am no longer active to Halo or MGM, and don't guarantee a response on the forums or through email. I will however linger around the discord room for general chatting. It's been fun!

This fixes the issue. (You killed the bug faster than I returned to the thread!)

I found a small bug where the game will crash if you try to change the player settings in a multiplayer game without having previously created a profile, but this is unimportant and has the simple workaround of not forgetting to first create a profile.

That is exactly what I was thinking after I put this up, since that was the point of HaloMD. Honestly, releasing the halo.exe executable with modified ability to post servers on HaloMD sounds kind of like pirating the game. I don't like it. I won't do it.

Under normal circumstances, HaloMD requires you to choose a name which will create a profile for you, avoiding that problem. Since HaloMD crashed for you for another reason, i think it bypassed this because it was only able to do it half-way. I could indeed look into being more cautious though.

Sparky, can you swap out that texture on the ground, remove the spawn location on the bridge, remove sword HUD reticle/make it invisible (let's see how this turns out), and do the third person sword animations for Crossing, so I can include it in an update soon (i.e., in couple days)? I updated the download link here, but will update it in the client/app later.

Also, I just noticed I got a HaloMD Dev title under my profile name..Heh.

And yeah, spawning on the bridge is in the middle of the open. There should be more spawns on the lowest level. It'll give more incentive to use ghosts :)
