Taxi, what you suggest has already been done by a couple people I've seen on the news or technology TV shows. There was some Nova science episode about cyborgs and mechanical implants. This guy implanted a sensor in his arm to function as a controller for his house which was automated. E-search "automated homes".
Either you are groping for answers, or you are asking God and listening to Jesus.

Sparky: if that's the same guy i am thinking about i've once met him IRL as a kid at a sort of show about robotics in my city. He brought some cute little robots that would walk around and... i can't remember anything else. :-\
I've looked for automatic homes on the interwebs, but all i found is companies' sites and diy how-to's. Is it the same guy that made a necklace for his wife that changes color with her mood?
Mgalekgolo: come on! The "e-" prefix means "electronic"! Sparky is in the computer game for longer than me and you, and when he started, it was used a lot more than now. The only reminiscence of this prefix that remains nowadays is the e in email. By the way email stands for electronic mail, did you know that?
Actually, you could add the e- prefix to anything regarding computers! As sparky said, if you had to do a search on the web, it'd be an e-search. If you listen to songs on your computer, that's e-music. The pictures of posing strong nude men hidden in your hard drive would be called e-gay-porn, and so on.
Who's this ontopic guy? I've never heard of him!
