Mac Gaming Mods

Guys, remember back in the day when this place would be crawling with people on Mac Halo Demo, asking for mods.

Now it's like a deserted hospital with a clipboard and like 3 people come in and out a day.

It feels like it wasn't too long ago that I was addicted to modding the demo, and everyone was calling me a HUGE n00b, lol.

Those were the good days.

Seems like everythings coming to an end.

There anything we can do?

Why not mono start newer boards?

well maybe the forums should join up....
maybe link to Sleepinginsomniac forums...
they have members but not enough.
if maybe they somehow combined the members and material would be concerntrated. just like CH.
or atleast make different sub sections of halo demo.
make a modding part, a mod release, any talk, pics sigs screenshots. stuff like that to sort out all the many pages of topics that are on here now. then it would be easier to find stuff and maybe people would keep coming back cause its easy to use.
MGM is nearly the main source of peoples mods. maybe making them unaccessible to people that arent members on MGM....

There are different sections. The mod release part is normally part of the modding part since people post their progress of the mod as they go then once its done, I post it on the main page. The "any talk" section would be the General Discussion section at the top of the forum. The "pics sigs screenshots" section is taken care of with the Diner Gallery board and the Gallery itself. You can upload all the images you want to it. What other boards are needed?

its mostly cause of the economic system si set up, makes posting interesting

Alot of this is because all the knowledge has gotten to people one way or another. New mods are now never played for some strange reason...probably because it gets old fast.
Another thing is because this is Halo 1. Halo 3 is right around the corner and this isn't even the full version-it's just the demo. People will get bored of playing the same map over and over and just move on. People won't really care much anymore for something 3 years dead. I hate to think what will happen to Halo full when Halo 2 comes out for PC...

Well whenever Halo 2 for Mac comes out we'll start a board for that.

yeah but i think someone could very posibly turn the halo 2 demo for windows vista into open source and then convert it to mac

I always play Lockout. Best level ever, unless theres more than 6 players. Then its got to be Headlong or (so people say...) Zanzibar. I kinda like non-symmetrical levels. So much better action.

Yea Lockout is a hella fun map. I don't always play it seeing as I can only play Halo 2 at my friend's house but yea.

And Lockout is the best map for MLG FFA, but Midship is definitely better for MLG TS.
