Grave Lane Mod

Post by Leviathan » Fri Aug 10, 2007 2:00 pm

This is a mod I've been working on for a while.

Included in the package: Read Me, Map file, and Bitmaps file.

Credits to Syperium, for helping me out on some parts. ;D

PLEASE DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE/MOD THIS MOD WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.

Changes:

Map Changes: Fighting on a "lane" with walls.

Greyscale environment, besides from the lane, walls, weapons, sky, and player bitmaps.

Weapon Changes:

Shotgun replaced with Needler.

Needler shoots modified Covi Turret rounds.

Covi Turret rounds have adjusted speed, homing, effects.

Fuel Rod is a dark blue color, while it shoots Chain Gun rounds.

Rocket projectile travels slowly, but has high homing.
Rocket Launcher shoots the rocket in the direction you are traveling (excluding left and right). If you fire will stationary, projectile travels very slowly. If you fire while moving, speed is determined by your own moving speed.

Assault Rifle is much more accurate, has 2x Zoom, no Full-Auto feature, but features a Burst feature.

Flamethrower has been skinned orange/yellow/a dash of red, while being changed to a "genocide weapon". Shoot it to find out. ;)

If you fall off the platform, you die. Stay on the platform!

Nice, my only suggestion is that you make a .ppf of the bitmaps, to make the file size smaller.

Wow... Is this a new map? Even if it isn't, nice job!

It's not a new map, it's still on Blood Gulch.

However, you don't fight ON BG. You fight above it.

Dude,... dude, dude, dude. ppfs are awsome. I use them whenever I can, because they cut down on the file size so much. Anyone who hates them is missing something, or just decides to disagree with everything I say .

Interesting. I'm assuming that you made the "lane" out of scenery, in which case I must ask: Did you make that scenery? If you didn't where did you get it?

The lane isn't custom. It's a lift from a one of the full maps (which the name escapes me, at the moment..).

SparkEdit is your friend when it comes to duplicating things over and over.

Oh, and some things are missing.. You just never notice it. Most of the vegetation and some of the rocks are replaced.

So is the whole thing is one piece, or is it several pieces put together? If it's one piece, I'd like to know where in full you got it.

It's lots of the elevator floors put together.
