New Rules (sugestion for halo & halo demo sections)
Posted: Sun Oct 07, 2007 9:56 am
Starting up a thread in any of the map release sections:
1. Your thread must include a mod of some sort. (It must be in .ppf form if it hasn't been rebuilt.) The thread must also contain pictures of your mod so that people can get an idea of what your mod looks like.
2. You must get pics in 24 hours of posting, or the thread will be deleted. If your thread has pictures but no mod, it will be moved to the pictures section.
3. Your topic needs a prefix in front of the topic name. Some examples of prefixes are:
[Mod]:
[Map]:
[Skin]:
[Model]:
4. If your mod contains the work of others (Besides CE map conversions), then you must have there approval first.
General Posting:
• Putdowns, flaming, or any other posts meant to offend or anger someone is forbidden.
• Do not spam. This includes posting an excessively long line of smilies, advertising another website, or posting the same line over and over again.
• Do not use an excessive amount of text modification such as capitalization or changing text color.
• Do not post inappropriate content such as pornography, racist pictures or posts, etc.
• Do not discuss things that are illegal such as warez or drugs.
• Do not harass people. If a person wants you to stop PMing or e-mailing them, do not continue.
• Try to stay on-topic.
• Do not bump topics. “Bumping” is posting in a topic that is no longer on the first or second page of a section. These topics are old and the discussion has ended.
• Don't double post. It tends to annoy people. Simply use the "Edit" button which is on your post.
• Do not respond to a spambot if it posts one of its topics. Instead, just wait for an Admin or Moderator to delete the topic. Spam bots are just these annoying bots that come to random forums under strange names like "Mrblah30482". They'll usually be Guests and will post advertisements such as various products such as viagra or some crappy kind of bleach.
The Report Button:
First off, don't use the report button frequently. Only use it if you really feel a user is not sticking at all to the rules. Please be specific about your report. Include why you are reporting this person and the offender's name.
Starting immediately, topics are now required to have prefixes attached to the topic name within 24 Hours of their posting (warning may be posted in thread) or they will be Deleted.
Some examples of a prefix:
[Map]:
[Misc]:
[Skin]:
[Tags]
[CE->Mac]
[WIP]:
[Model]:
[UT]: (stands for Utilities) (post in download section moderator will move to utilities)
If your topic does not have a prefix, your topic will be deleted. We will NOT add one for you.
Some people only like skins, while other people enjoy mods with new models included. Adding a prefix takes only a second, and it helps differentiate the mods for better organization and a more professional appearance.
