!Warning! New Modder Approaching!

Hey MGM! I'm JordanBBad (call me Jordan) and you guys succeed at converting me into a modder! Thanks! Jerks.
I'm fairly new at this thing (about a week) and instead of despising modders like I usually did, I gained the interest in mods. In fact, I'm already working on my first mod now (yes I'm the guy that keeps on putting up locked "Mod Testing" servers)! But, instead of making a simple mod like most first mods (no offense) I'm gonna try my best at starting with a blast.
So that pretty much sums up my intro, so if you have any tips for me, feel free to shoot!

Thanks guys. And for my first question, is it possible to save a map as a meta; if so, how? It's not for the mod I'm planning now, but it might prove helpful for the future.
PS: I might not be on a lot sometime in the future (depends on when my parents give in to my pleads for Halo 3 {my grades have been ick lately}) so I guess Ima have to hurry with it!

I think the closest you can get in batch extract in HMT0.5.
