HI, i have halo demo, and i bought a new computer, but the thing is thet when i try to play it it says'' The path ''imac alu 2.0:HALODEMO cntains a slash(/), backlash or period (.). please remove the carachter from the appropiate folder's name and try again.


What tha ****** does that ***** mean??? i really liked this game please help me please!

try redownloading, or check your halo folders that have weird characters in them

yea redownload it

if it says that just go to the folder and highlight it hit enter and change the name so there is no period or slash or whatever

He can't find the folder. IF its a mac try all of these:
a) Look at your shaders and stuff folder and all the folders in Halo Demo for a wierd charecter.
b) right click the actual Halo Demo application and hit show package contents and sift through those.
c) go to your documentts folder and choose Halo Demo folder and sift through those.
d) If none of this stuff works, reinstall.

Yeah, it's probably that you accidentally changed the name of a folder so that it has one of those characters you listed. Just use Spotlight to find the folder, or manually search Finder. Then, just take the character out.

btw you CANNOT have a folder with a "." (period) in the beginning of it. the OS will not let you, unless you used terminal which i doubt.

... yes you CANNOT, it won't let you... so why do you need to post that... if its obvious you cant because it wont let you >.>

well, this happened to me too. its really simple you stated the answer yourself. well, you cant have a . / or \ and it looks like your hard drive is called "imac alu 2.0" you need to take that . out.
