another idea, what about custom ctf shades, Not Red vs Blue, but Purple vs Gold or something. that would be SWEET!

no... then it'd be purple & gold (Lakers) vs. white & black (Spurs).
"magically" somehow the purple and gold team would always lose...

True, but even if you could change the colors, every time the team formerly known as "Red Team" gets the flag, the announcer will say "Red Team Has the Flag!" just edit the sounds.map, and while ur at it, make an application that will mod the sounds.map XD

In developing Weapons Evolved, I made the flags purple and green, but there still is that sound issue, where you'd have to import the .ogg sound somehow. Isn't there a tutorial for doing that somewhere on HaloMods.org?

couldnt u just null the sound out? i personally find the announcement annoying anyway
