 Re: Halo Demo Troubleshooting [11/25/08]
I'm behind a symmetric NAT Router and can't configure it (and I don't want to try again)

 Re: Halo Demo Troubleshooting [11/25/08]
Go to www.portforward.com and try to find how to configure it there. It has most of the routers listed.

 Re: Halo Demo Troubleshooting [2/14/09]
[2/14/09] Update:
• Added a few mostly untested tidbits like allowing Halo Demo through the Firewall on 10.3/10.4. Don't know if they work or not, though. I'm just making a rather wild guess.

It didn't work for 10.4, but I think my problem is a router one.

Personally, I prefer Apple+R.

 Re: Halo Demo Troubleshooting [2/14/09]
Omg I just had this wild idea and it fixed my hosting. O_O OK now that you people know how to port forward, I assume you know how to access your router here. 1. Now, somewhere, probably under maintenance, there should be a subsection titled "Connected Devices", or something along those lines. Click it. 2. Look for the name of your computer. It will replace space with a hyphen. 3. Once you have found your computer's name, look for the IP address beside your computer's name. E.g. 192.168.0.x 4. REMEMBER THIS NUMBER! 5. Go back to port forwarding, and make the ports 2302, 2303, 8871, and 80 open and where it asks for the server IP, enter the number you remembered. NOT 192.168.0.1, as all that will do is redirect toward your router. I realize some of you have different routers, but mine just happens to be that way. If you have a different one, go to portforward.com and find your model, and do pretty much the same thing. I think. So yea.
