Re: HDM
Are you still getting those errors? While I was experimenting with the Minecraft server on HDM, I had to restart the server several times.
Otherwise, it could be because of the Banhammer.
*Server Status Update*
Disk Usage: 35% full
Bandwidth Usage: ca. 5% used so far in August 2011

Re: HDM
Shit I needed my e-mail.
Re: HDM
It's back online now. Sorry for the inconvenience. I updated to ... well, I updated a lot of stuff.
We have GNU diff3 now, which lets you merge edits with existing edits. The scenario would be that it's no longer going to give you an error when a page has changed while you were editing it. I will need to test this in order to ensure that it's working properly.
EDIT: There are problems with mediawiki's recognition of GNU diff, so I'm going to have to hold off on that. Sorry!

Re: HDM
I noticed that people are not registering any more, and I wonder if they are having problems or if my spambot tactics are finally paying off. So I'm making a shared wiki account. Anyone here may use it to log in and post. It will not be part of the HDM modders group, however, so file uploading is disallowed.
Username: Shared
Password: MGM
E-mail: sparky@halodemo.net (this is my e-mail address, so don't use this for e-mail contact, unless you want to contact me)
Real Name: MacGamingMods
Upon registering the account, I noticed that I got a blank page. So I reloaded the page and everything was fine, and I was logged in.

Re: HDM
It has come time to pay the $12 domain registration renewal for both HaloDemoMods.com and HaloDemo.net. Please vote in the poll and comment here whether or not I should renew both HaloDemoMods.com and HaloDemo.net, or only renew HaloDemoMods.com. Thank you.

Re: HDM
I still use it. And here is a bug. When I click files, It opens as a white page after some time. I change 10000 to 1000 and it works.
Re: HDM
I changed the files.halodemo.net / files.halodemomods.com link to use the default ListFiles page, and I also changed the wiki sidebar to use that page. It lists 1,000, which is enough since we have only over 2,000 files now. I think there was probably a parsing error and the server needed to be restarted, anyway. Script issues, like taking too long or taking too much memory than what is allowed by PHP in the server's php.ini settings file.

Re: HDM
Just let me say: I voted no, but my vote should not count for much. I hardly use HDM, but I wasn't ever aware of halodemo.net, if all it's doing is saving people from typing 4 characters I'd say lose it >.>

What a shitty thread
Fuck all of you.
Re: HDM
Aright, executive decision: I'm not going to renew HaloDemo.net. The additional problems caused by having more than one domain on a wiki and the time it took to get it to work are not worth the convenience of the shorter URL. The name of the wiki is HaloDemoMods (HDM), so it should be only halodemomods.com. Also, it costs money to renew each domain, so I might as well only have one domain associated with the web site.

Re: HDM
Alright, sounds good. Doesn't seem to affect much anyhow.
