Mac Gaming Mods

I don't know who, and I don't know why, but someone pretended to be me, somehow obtained my Recon beta, insulted me and spoke of revenge. Whatever that means. This upsets me greatly to know...after being a low CE modder for sometime, then after my pc broke I came here, and thought....the people are not bad, why not give them my Recon Bipd in a map? they for the most part are respectable. and those people know who they are.

Whoever posed as me as "J Nobuyuki" You apparently know of this site, and odds are you are signed up with this site. I don't know why you insulted me nor why you spoke of revenge, but as result of this. Recon will NOT be distributed publicly, nor are any beta testers I have going to receive it, since I suspect one of them leaked it. Except TaxiService since I know for a fact he was not the one.

I will give it out, however only to those who I respect. and those I feel will not distribute it. I know how Echo felt when he gave out his mod, only for people to flame each other. or how other's feel when they have had the problem of an Imposter.

Sorry to say, but publicly Recon: Combat Evolved Mod has been Cancelled publicly. those I trust will still receive the complete version when It is complete. if proof be needed of this story, I recorded the game, and will post if need be. Taxi, theoneforlife, and shroom were with me

May I see the recording? This happened to someone I knew on Halo and we found out who it was. His online name was "McLovin" and as is happening here about 50 people started to hate him. That happened to two of my friends online and if you used some kind of web hosting to give it to give it to the beta testers (i.e. filefront, mediafire) then it would not be so hard for them to obtain your beta. McLovin follows a certain.... behavior. Did he insult the beta testers coarsely? Constantly betray (if it was CTF?) If so it may in all likelyhood be him.

It's a sad fact that there are people like them in the world. Those who act maliciously towards people and against their hard work. Personally, I do not judge these people or seek revenge since I consider them to be either the type that is malicious towards everyone they meet who is not of their type, or they are so ignorant of anyone's situation but their own that they do not contemplate the effects that their words might have on another individual but I can understand the effects that their words cause. I believe that the only opinions that should matter are from the people you respect.

I know we don't know each other well but I would be happy to play your mod because I think it's results show the great effort that has been put into it. (At least from what I have seen of it so far)

yes he did, actually, I will post tomorrow here. I used filefront but made a password so no one can download it unless I allow it. also Taxi thought perhaps they had the Island map and were able to join anyway, like axis. however I tested this and it crashed. so one of my beta testers had to have given it out.

That is why you must choose your beta testers wisely

If i were you i would have just stayed with taxi O_o
and maybe Mr Mods if you trust him
Moxus as well and altimit those are the people you can trust

Well... It happens on the internet. There are some people who do it for "fun". I've had more than one friend's reputation ruined. We never caught the guy though... My point is, your friends will believe you, the other people may or may not believe you, but who cares? As long as friends still believe you. I'm not entirely sure if that made any sense at all, but it did to me. xD

I agree, if you only care about what people you respect think, then all the people who try to say bad thing about you will bounce right off. Pick the right friends, and they will defend you against any such attack. Then if someone try's to say that something you worked hard on is worthless you can just ignore them because you know the people you respect think to the contrary.

This is island? Well if the recon bipd is used in beta then that's probably what stood in the way of joining without the right mod so somebody COULD have gotten ahold of it somehow. Considering your from CE new bipeds back there are pretty common so someone could've gotten ahold of it through then? I don't know... It IS kind of a longshot but I've never seen anything that tells me the members (who actually PARTICIPATE) to not be trustworthy...........
