The topic does not lie. I have created a new map for Halo Demo.

There is no trace of BloodGulch left in Deep Space Arena, except perhaps the flags and weapons. It is a multi-level map, built entirely out of foreign platforms and energy bridges. It took me quite a while to make, and I believe this is my best mod yet, so I hope you all enjoy.

Here is a link to this file, along with some information to read and screenshots to view while your map is downloading.

This map is prone to unexpected quitting, and it is very sensitive. I'll try to fix it, and all you can do is try to not overload it -- not sure how.

Special thanks to Sword and Stoutie, for helping me get past certain problems, and thanks to Bungie, for making Halo Demo!

This mod obviously does not transfer to clients, so you will need the map in order to join a server with this map on! This is also a good thing, because it means you wont need to set a password for security.

And now, fantabulous in-game screenshots!

A view of the two main levels. The lowest level consists of only two platforms, each with one sniper rifle and a health pack.

A purple relic/space filler lies smack in the middle of the top level.

CTF Gametype is still supported, and spawn points have been moved up to the bases. A single door is placed infront of each base.

One large platform makes up the large lower level, and two ghosts are placed on either side.

I already found a glitch. I was walking backwards at the red base and all of a sudden I found myself in the space sky, I couldnt move, shoot, or change my weapon. Kind of like getting past the "render zone". Here is a pic. Also, I am using my Urban Camo AR skin.. I like it so much, lol.

Yeah, I'm sorry this version is so glitchy. I'll make another one, with bridges you can turn on and off (maybe), stability, and energy swords :D

Also there will be stars in the sky. I corrupted the file and was unable to add anything else, so I know that stuff is fixable. I can't do it right now though, I'm burnt out for the day :P

Is this legal? Cause isnt it true if Bungie found out that we make a new map for the demo they whould shut us down or is that just a myth :?: :shock:

well this map is incorporating everything that is in the demo right?? nothing is from full halo. I think its legal then.

Yeah good point. Hey so Deox you think that if you can import the doors from the Silent Cartographer then can also make the green energy bridges have switches? cause I think that should work. :D

switches? like a trap. Person goes walking by and you pull the switch and they fall to their death. That kind of switch??

its a really nice mod already, but switchs would make it even more tight.

Yeah that would be cool. Also the map could have a switch like the one in the security shaft that unlocks the door to the cartographer. But also have a lock option too for each base door. :idea:

Bungie couldnt really care, it would be macsoft that would care. And really, unless you took maps from the full version (copyrighted material) they don't have much of a case against you. Everything is from b30, the map that comes with the demo :P
