Soon to be released: The Great Wall of Gulch for Demo.

Post by sword » Sun Apr 30, 2006 5:45 pm

Well, I switched the focus of the mod I was making sometime last week, and as I had been toying with the idea, it hadn't taken me long to work on reproducing the Great Wall of Gulch for Halo Demo mac.

You should expect a midweek release, maybe around wednesday. I'm going through a lot of fixing and cleaning up. So far though, its looking like this:

Oh, and don't worry, there is quite a bit more ^_^

I've said before, its all hexing.

I had been experimenting with logs as a wall in my last mod, so it was a relativley quick jump from one to the other. Just copy and paste the section I was working on, update, and continue working on a clean mod.

Oh, and sparkedit is crap, lol

It cant even open a map for full, thats one of the worst applications I've ever seen.

So do you need to specify the spawn points for all those logs in HexEdit? And how in the hell do you get so many logs in there? Or can you just edit like a spawn point meta to make it spawn tons of 'em?

The spawn points are simple, the rest I'll leave up to you to learn.

I hope you can have LOTS of floating platforms. Great sniper spots. More places you have to look at making sure people are not sniping you. Sweeeet.

Yeah, sparkedit sucks crap.

Try to open a full version map and you'll agree with me.

"A Bunny" knows how to change locations of scenery/vehicle/weapon items, too.

It's all in the "item collection" tags.

Actually that'd be pretty sweet... Put needlers in it. *imagines running through fog shooting needler blindly*
