Forest (New Map/Kind of)

Post by Deox » Wed May 17, 2006 2:50 am

Since the destruction of Installation 04, Blood Gulch has become a mere shard of artificially created land, floating through space. Unlike many of the shattered pieces of Installation 04, however, Blood Gulch has moved away from Threshold, causing some very strange climate conditions. The once barren desert land has been transformed into a temperate forest.

The covenant have set up outposts on the floor of this forest, in an attempt to monitor its location as it drifts into deep space...

This is my latest, and therefore best map. I have learned much since I posted RockMod, as you can see from this, and I put a lot of time and effort into creating this mod. I truly hope you all enjoy it, and are not *too* annoyed at me for saying this was a new map. A few people told me it is "almost like a new map." I hope you think so as well.

Technical Notes (please read)

Due to the excessive amount of trees in this mod, you may experience some framerate lag. It is advised that if you have a moderately fast or slow computer, that you turn your quality settings to medium or low.

Here is a link to the mod itself, and...

Here are some screenshots for you to view as you wait for this mod to download:

WONDERFULL SUPER DUPERDY GOOD MOD!!! YOU RULE DEOX!!!!

I just got back from playing... The map seems...bigger. I also like how you put stuff from B30 in. 9.6/10 I rated it 9.6 'cause there are no vehicles, and lots of potential slow-down.

Amazing work, Deox. It does look like a brand new map. You should release a Halo Demo Map Pack. That'd be mucho coolio.

Tee hee hee.

Lets just say I've been helping people modding, like deox, more than actually modding lately...

That, and its spring and warm again, so, I'm outside a lot.

Ha, i think i might be presenting a new map soon...

Once i get all of the things right... We will be seing, New Game Types, New Vehicles, New Weapons, And, New Scenery (A completely new map). Lol. I thank now, Doex, for making this mod and posting it. I hope he doesn't mind, but I'm taking to tree's spawn points and adding it to this new level, that is, once i get it right... No more freaking bloodgulch... Really, all i need to do is get it so halo demo notices there is a different map other than bloodgulch... Not possitive on how to do that... But, it should be cool... It is going to take me a really long time... But, o well... Peace.

Heh, you have a lot to learn before you can really do this, syperium...

First off, do do gametypes, learn how they work...

I got an idea of how they work... Hah! I think i may know enough... Lol. I know how to replace... and swap... I just don't know spawn points...

I know how to edit the bsp tag... So, if i wanted the FULL bloodgulch.map, from the full halo, I could easily put it in... I kinda thought to myself one day, on how to edit it... It was so easy... the bsp tag is just the recognition of a map/file. And, some other little things, but, that is what it is pretty much. Lol. See, I'm getting very smart. Still, not as smart as Deox or sword, but still, pretty smart. Lol.

I should have some stuff from the b30 into the bloodgulch by tonight... I am getting an object from the full version...It is going to be VERY cool. Well... Hold your breath for it to work... Keep holding it........... Keep on holding........ Hold some more... Ok.... did i tell you to stop holding.... NO... JK. Alright, bye.
