ummm im working on a mod where snipers shoot tanki shells, rocket launchers switch locations with assualt rifles, and its really laggy when i use the sniper to shoot tankshells. any advice.

also: when i have been modding lately the map only works if i switch two offsets
ex: switch rocket and assault rifle locations, all i wanted was the rocket to be at bases instead of the asssault rifle.

so to make the tank or any other grounded vehicle fly what do I do to the meta?

well it's hard for newbie modders to get into it. Personally I would at least like to know what I'm doing when I mod stuff and what else I can do with a little bit of code.

Is this the offset list that everyone uses? I only ask because when example mods are posted they use offsets that are not in the list. I also can't change change things using that list yet I can using example mods.

The offset list here lists OBJECTS, ie Vehicle Meta locations, Weapon Meta locations, Object Models, Sounds, etc.

But, these various objects take up some space in the map file, and there are things inside of these object metas and whatnot which must be edited. Most people give you a direct address to what needs to be edited, as opposed to the object's location plus a local offset (like, you could say the address "00ABCDEF" as "00ABC000+0xDEF," but that's lengthy, so it's just easier to say "00ABCDEF"). This is why that list does not have many of the addresses which this forum's members use.

Thanks, but when I'm modding how can I tell what to edit within the offset?

Edit: The offsets that I have seen were CSS, I was stupid then.

can anyone explain how this offset list works..... i dont understand it..... you find the off set and then just get the 16 byte code for the ex. ihev and then the other 12 lines of code? thanks
