Is It Possible?

Is it possible to convert halo PC map for PC to halo full, if it is and that question is really nooby coz the conversion method came out ages ago can no-one flame me please :)

You mean Halo PC->Halo mac? Well most of the time the mods work. The ones that don't have a better chance of working on intel. And then there's the old HHK trick of opening then saving a map that doesn't work. That covers a good portion of PC mods for mac. And yeah, way old news. Theoretically they should run the same but for certain reasons they don't. Mostly the same files though.

alt i think i know exactly why the maps are intell only.......conure and shoutbv kinda help figure it out without even knowing they heped IM me so i can explain when i am on tomorrow or the nect day you could make a specail app to get rid of the problem.......

scripts are the problem

i relized this when i used the script injector on my ppc it worksked well and script got installed but it crashed halo well i moved it to my brothers mac pro intel and the map worked fine with the scripts and ththen i was like meh then i talked to shoutvb on aim and he said the heavily scripting in coldsnap may be the problem it wontr work at all on intell or ppc what i think we need is an app that removes un needed scripts.............. but thats a theory so take it for what its worth

Seems like bull to me just off the basis that SP maps are heavily scripted....
Also my appies have a tendency of fucking over maps due to me never finishing specific code parts...... Also i dont know full script node header so i have to leave parts of it blank, some scripts i cant compile do to that fact.

but for multiplayer play with conversions scripts could interfear in theory we just gotta remove them and test :P

well... just had an idea... might just be possible! take you're full mod with the mod on, create a PPF of it, now switch you're demo mod to full header using demo hack, or, if you are old skool, using hex edit, now apply the PPF. Hopefully it will work!

Nope won't work. PPF is raw locations. So if the mod effects meta A in a full map at location X, but meta A is in location Y on a demo map then you've got problems. Now a UHP patch would do the trick. No demo-hacking needed. Of course it's limited in that it doesn't work for sbsp, mod2 or bitm tags.

this is a simple mod so it should work

hang on, should the original map be the demo one or the full one?

do I actually have to download that program or can i just use the one on eschaton?

Eschaton would do the same thing. You have to make the UHP patch from the original full map and the modded full map. It can then be applied to any map and if it's something like just editing some characteristics, dependencies or whatever it'll work.
