So what if old converters work become in vain? I thought bout it and decided i WOULDN'T like it to be released for that reason, but that is selfish. Back before HMT existed for either application people used hex editors to create simple projectile mods and were praised as gods at first, then more people learned and they lost status and had to do stuff even more amazing. If this app is released modding will be pushed forward, people will be able to convert maps but eventually all maps will be converted and people will have to add a little something extra. For instance i am still the only person that makes new uis, and to be honest they arnt anything special. Now if this appy is released custom PC UIs will be easy and i will have to put more work in to my mods for them to stand out. In the end lots of progress of modding has been staleld by people, i have been on both sides and i think in the end knowledge SHOULD be given free. I waited for thinkreddie to release the ai on teams tutorial, got sick of waiting and made my own. If i had his i wouldnt have gotten nearly as far in modding as i am now, but on the same token if he never released and i never found out we would all be stuck with shitty AI.

And as to people converting what ever map they want, that is what yo udo. I highly doubt you go out and think "i believe by converting this map i will save the halo community" maybe you want to say you do but ibet you think more along the lines of "i want to play this map with a few of my friends who don't have CE".

Also the last point about pissing off CE community, they dotn care simply put. They are the CREATORs of these maps, we are in no way a threat to them all we can do is spread THEIR work. HEK+ already extracts tags back into native format so the maps arnt any more likely to get nubby on pc then on ce. From what i know of this appy it wont convert protected maps, all it will do is convert non-protected maps. They just wont care, they wont come into a forums and be like "FUCK YOU BUDDY, I JUST WANT SOME PEOPLE TO PLAY THIS MAP", they may be like "you dont have my permission, please take this down" or "you can convert this and spread my map and make me even more known".

All in all i dont want this appy to replace me either, but if i am a good modder like i think i am then i should be able still to produce mods that blow people away on a more level playing field.

Maybe a change to come is of people that horde knowledge wont be elite anymore and will have to be good modders and not just a select few.

conure i agree but see i have done everything but AI. i hate AI there a bitch i cant stand to play a map with AI so i never wil do ai i think i got AI phobia

i ahve done everything possible in halo exept AI witch i refuse to do

so yeah converting made me good infact the only thing this app cant do that i can do is convert Dual BSP maps and Full SP to Demo SP witch is prettty kool i cant tell u or give you any of those maps tho they are just for funn but will be happy to share my knowlege with the great conure

EDIT: i can also convert Protected Maps thanks toa alittle knowlege from kirby_420 a good friend of mine in CE comunity

Why don't you like AI mods? The only reason I don't like them is if they are just straightforward bots that attack you or if there are so many that they lag the s*** out of you computer. Something like "The Engine Room 2" is what I like to play.

i am athiest and i am right in every sence see its hard for manny to comprehend those tuts i posted well there u go that right there alone controls the flow of CE maps

i have released those so if you want to convert use the got damn tuts and C#MT i so humbly gave the comunity

automatic conversion is degrading enough especailly on mac we are alread y less respected in the comunity because of C#MT and i aregue windows with "so u get hek & CE and u get mad cause we got C#MT what the fuck is up with that"

You think that it's a secret socieity well some of us
just don't have either the time or resources to make
or mod maps. It took me two (2) years of playing and hosting
servers to get the attention of someone to mod for me.
If this makes it easer for me to do my own maps, than I'm all
for it.

I also think that CE would be flooded with useless maps, but I have my
own ded Servers and it's my choice as to what I run on them! I don't plan
on running maps that are redondent. I look for quality maps not "SHIT"
(sry about that word). Let it come out it will only set all of you that much higher than the rest of us, right?

I LOVE this game and the enflux of crap maps does not scare me. I like to see how you all do. Besides I've seen some realy bad maps and mods come from this elite goup of yours. So in the end we get more to choose from and your jobs at making the realy good maps is still sucure.

welll alt could put a restriction date on it and release a beta and we could see how well it works out

use what u ddid with escahton betas adn releases it to see how well everyone takes to it and if there aint an influx release the full version

use a code that limits it to being used for 7 days that way settin clock back wont help get past it
