I emailed them a few months ago, and got the exact same email response. Word for word pretty much.

I wonder how much they'd sell keys for... might just call them up at some point.
Or just buy it for PC, and run it via bootcamp when I get my new computer.

Somehow, that still seems like cheating the system.

Also, Bungie might publicly release the source code at some point, like they did with Marathon. Would this be possible, given the copyright ownership?

More than likely not given Microsoft's involvement and ownership of the IP.
