For everyones knowledge, I'm going to be not just modding Halo Demo, but several other games. Including, Halo Full, Ghost Recon Demo, Raven Shield, and Unreal Tournament.
I show most interest in Halo. That is why I am mentioning this.
I will start making mods for Halo Full in a very short period of time.
Thanks Monoman for making a Full Halo board.

Is it coding or graphical?
I know highschool level C++ and intro to VB. Really, I found both of these languages easy to program in.
I see alot of mentioning of hex, is this coding in hex?
Anything I can do to help, let me know.

Yes. We use Hexidecimal coding as an interpretation for modding. (I think I used interpretation in correct context).
I know some C based language. Not a lot to compile a program. I know enough to make loops on images to animate them and edit font. Same with HTML, Font editing and images loops. I am mentioning image loops and editing font because, I looked up a tut and a description on HTML and C based coding, and that is what they had me follow; To start getting more conforitable useing either or of the two type coding.
I think I may have the modding covered with Hex. If you know any information on editing Game Globals in Hex, please inform me. I would like to know how to edit the file size; How many bytes the map is. It doesn't preform this edit when you recursivly import a non-habitant object to the map. It crashes... :/.
Thanks Selix.

Also, do you know of a place that has Mac compatible mods for Halo? I'd be interested in downloading and testing them.
Here and Macologist don't have any...so I'm in a non-enthuesiastic(sp) search.

Try
here. Look in the Mac Section.

It may not be known here, but many Halo PC mods are also compatible witht the mac version of Halo. If it crashes, open it in HHK and save it (nothing else is required..) and try it again. If it doesn't work, then more involved processes must be undergone to make it compatible... these I'm not going to explain as it's far to complex to write at the moment...
Actually, all PC mods have the potential to work on a mac (including CE maps, but those are tricky and the method for porting them isn't known to the public) if you do it right.

hey Syp, how hard is it to mod UT?

You'll have extreme difficulties with RvS as well as UT. Also there is little you can do in GhRD without access to the IGOR tools.

Im assuming the IGOR tools are not for mac
