3? You mean Reach?

And Modzy it is a graphics layer, but it does use the Reach engine still. So the Halo CE engine is running side by side with the Reach engine. (I believe).

As far as I've heard, the multiplayer maps will be for the Reach engine, and the actual campaign would be the same engine "with an added graphics layer." That's exactly how I heard it.

Exec producer at 343 Dan Ayoub told CVG that the game's single-player would "use a hybrid: a combination of the original Halo code with our new graphics engine"

Honestly, it seems to me that if Halo Anniversary's graphics shipped instead of the original Halo it would have been awful. In Guilty Spark alone it looks like they sodomized the atmosphere. With all the new vegetation it sort of lost its sickly look, which I really liked with all the flood that were about to attack you and the darkness... It was a little confusing but now everything's more well lit than it damn well should be in a space zombie introduction level. Oh well, at least they're letting me play the regular game instead of their... Thing.

I'm an insufferable prick.

PS: Mgal, if you didn't watch the Waypointiness, Installation 04 is a firefight map that appears to be loosely based on that bit in the original level that will continue to torture me with its name: "Halo." You know, the part towards the end where your on a cliff next to those big forerunner buildings. The really generic ones that seem to have been copy-pasted a lot.

EDIT: Feck, either I didn't see the multiplayer bit of your post or it was an edit. Either way, I can't really help but agree with you.

Yeah it was an edit. and I watched the video soon after and I thought (a30) because I still think that way. but it looks... wrong. But hey, looks like they fixed the helmet a bit and the assault rifle. The swamp is too bright and alive -_-... I agree with your sickness comment. I hope we can find a way to mod this though.

I am sorta interested in the forerunners terminal stories though. But these are being made by… not bungie. >_> so when should i stop considering stuff ‘canon’?

I don't know. This game feels like listening to a cover of my favourite album made by a band i hate. :-\

The terminals are referring to information from that terrible greg bear novel halo: cryptum. I wonder if 343 has access to the halo bible or whatever...
I remember falling being a big part of halo. anyone agree?

I know what you're saying, but the campaigns made by bungie weren't completely canon themselves.
