Do the Mac and PC versions use different serverslists?

Also does Custom edition, full edition and demo all use different servers?

So for a total of 6 fragmented serverlists

If they do, is there anyway to use another serverlist (ie the most popular)?

Custom edition uses a different server list and is only available for Windows.

Full version on Windows has several different server lists depending on the version. 1.02 (not many players) is different than the current 1.09, which is different than the future 1.10 update not yet to be released. Today, it's possible to play on the equivalent 1.09 and 1.10 versions on the Mac. So the full version is portable.

Demo (Mac) and Trial (PC) use different server lists from each other, and are not compatible with Full or custom edition. Both of these versions are now considered dead.

HaloMD is an enhanced demo-like version on the Mac which has its own server list, but it's network-compatible with the full version 1.09 and future 1.10. This version behaves similar to custom edition but may have better exposure to playing mods.

So overall:

The most popular cross-platform version is the full version, 1.09 on the PC. Sometime this month 1.10 will be released, which will work on the Mac as long as it's patched.

Custom edition on Windows may be more or less popular but it's not playable on Mac.

Demo and trial are dead.

HaloMD may be best exposed version for playing mods, which PC players can join if they download the mods and know the game IPs.
I am no longer active to Halo or MGM, and don't guarantee a response on the forums or through email. I will however linger around the discord room for general chatting. It's been fun!
