OK so I got Halo Custom Edition to install on Wine (Which was hard by itself but I managed) I then hit "play now" and it said it exited because of a debugger. I tried updating and that doesn't work cause it stops when it tries to install the update. I tried to open the haloce.exe file and it crashes because of the debugger. I thought someone like Bcn or Sword might know but any help is appreciated. Oh, and here's how I installed it.

1. Already had Darwine and Wine and stuff and I downloaded Halo CE.
2. Got the mf41fg.dll file and put it in the system32 folder to fix the pidgen.dll thing.
3. Got a valid CD key from my Dad's Window's copy of Combat Evolved.
4. Installed and everything went great.
5. Hit play now and it crashed because of debugger, but follow 1-4 and you get it installed.

Dunno Seabees, might just be the fact that it's an emulator, you might need a real PC to do this.

No, It's been done before. I've seen the articles. I just want it to start up again. Maybe it needs a noCD thing.

Which... is.... broken... He has the noCD for Combat Evolved. Oh, wait a second! D'oh, I'll just use his noCD thing. And after testing that... it says the same thing. I don't think it's the CD thing.

And you know why? Because of those damn Conservatives screwing up our Canada. Stephen Harper keeps on toying with our copies of Halo!

Like I said, it is probably because it's not a real Windows computer.

try running it with the disc in your ROM . i tryed the same thing but (using darwine) but you need to have the install disc in order to install it properly or it won't work. you could try using liquidCD to copy your halo to a disc and using that at the install window.

And how can I figure out what the debugger is?

All Halo's need the CD, if you installing Halo 1, you need the CD.
If your installing Halo CE, you need the CD.
If your installing HEK, you need Halo CE installed and the CD.

Woah. I just got seriously confused with that post. Who screwed what up? What do you mean releasing it? And here I was hoping you would provide some input which could actually help. >_<
