Seriously, ripping from a protected map isn't that hard. Took me a few mins to figure out, you should just try to experiment.

It's called "I don't give a fuck about the whole <Protected>+ thing."

I have a map full of that shit... just an experiment. And there are other M-16's and AK-47's out there for halo... The ones in that map suck anyway.
