HALO 1 FLAMING RECON ARMOUR

I have seen halo 1 versions of recon that are very good but not with a flaming head!

How to give spartan armor a flaming head:

1. Get plasma grenades.

2. Sneak up behind target spartan.

3. Throw plasma grenade at target spartan's head.

Alternatively:

1. Go to a reenactment of the Battle of Thermopylae.

2. Obtain a container of gasoline and a lighter.

3. Poor gasoline over the nearest "spartan."

4. Ignite his head.

Done.

hey: what about an effe given to the flashlight? o_O in my maps i always give cyborg_mp's the flashlight activation sound effe. <_< (well, that would create flames only when you activate and deactivate it...)

umm... we could swap the flashlight's ligh with something! i know it can be swapped with cont's and lsnd's if i recall correctly... <_<

if it can be swapped with an effe, or a pctl then that would do!! o.o what do you think, people?



EDIT: OBVIOUSLY the flames would be active only when the ‘flashlight’ is active! o_o so, you'll have to put up with that!

Yeah but the light just spews out flame so you would have to find a way around that to control the flame.

we need a new effe/pctl. now i wonder, can effe be spawned by the flashlight? like you did with flamethrower's pctl?
shit, i'd test it but i have shit to do today >.< BLARGH

anyway what we have to do is:
- creating a new effect (i would start by burning flame. i don't remember if it's in demo too... if it's not, get it from a10 or something.) (also if you use that, null its jpt!. XD)
- edit it so that its particles spawn on the center of the head (since the flashlight hole is on the left of the head o_o) (this is not hard, just look in the effe tag)
- ????
- PROFIT! O_O

and... um... yeah. <_< i'll do that when i come back in, like, 10 hours or so!

Effes can be spawned with the flashlight, it's how that old suicide by using the flashlight mod works, makes an explosion effect. Ultimately you just need a new effect, as Taxi said.

But it's a nice idea non the less, the hard part is getting to work :)

the effect is not continuos, so it does not keep burning! D:
also, i don't think the flames spawned at all >.< i need to find another way... IN TESTING I GO!

EDIT: MY BAD! XD it works! i, um, i was mistaking which tag did i have to assign the effe to. o_o
also i had to rename a chunk of the effe to make the part's spawn. :P not a big deal anyway
at the moment if i turn it on, the whole cyborg is on fire. :D also it clogs your vision alot o_o so... meh, yeah.
