 Covenant Dropship With Turret Player Controls!
If you spawn the covenant dropship the turret is separated from the ship and is not player controllable. Is there a way to make it attached when spawned and player controllable?

Not exactly.
The covenant turret is a biped, and an actv. By nature, it has to be controlled by an AI, unless you were to swap the biped so that the player could play as the turret. But then the player would always and only play as the turret, and you would have games where people spawn as a turret and can't move. At least, I haven't tried it, but this seems most likely the case. It is currently impossible to have players playing as multiple types of bipeds in a single game.

Hmm... Interesting I have seen Halo CE maps where the dropship had a player controllable turret but then thats CE!

^ yeah. CE folks made a spirit dropship with a fixed turret.
it can be found in the map Deployment on halomaps.org or something like that. <_< o_o

yeah! you can just import it using eschaton! and to ‘fix’ i meant that they added the turret/bipd model to the main ship using a modeling program, then modified the antr to make it recognize the turret; then added a weap to it, a seat chunk... and all that shit XD
but yeah! like, you can simply import it from the CE map!
to get a better result: first import the original ship from b30 into a map. then import the CE one into the same map. after that, export the CE one from this map to an other map, and voilà! (in this way eschaton does not internalize the bitmap and sound datas! i think.. <_>) XP
...do you know how to mod anyway? if you don't you could either learn or we could make this for you. o_o (not me in this very moment since i'm out of timeehhh ahhrhgg)

"Fixed" is a bad term to use, because it's not broken. It's just different.

Hey thanks guys I got it to work perfectly thanks to Altimit's eschaton CE tag import tut; I think I will submit it to the mod database!

O_O EH no.
You do not submit converted CE maps to the mods database. No. Those aren't mods, those are converted CE maps. It is GREATLY looked down upon and ultimately a STUPID idea.
Unless you mean you're going to take the tag of the covie dropship with the turret and put it in another map, you're own map/mod, and mod it and make it something original. Then you could submit that, if you want.

No No I wasn't going to upload the CE map; I will upload a bloodgulch map with the dropship in it. Thanks for the concern though!

I have a dropship made Entirely on mac that has 5 turrets, 1 Heavy Needler on the bottom and the rest are Impact Rifle shots (It's in retribution.)
