Let's bring Halo to the next level, a HardStyle level...
Some weeks ago i had a luminous idea. When i play Halo, no matter which Halo, i always listen HardStyle. Without HardStyle i totally suck, i can't play with any kind of music except for HS. It helps me focus and time my aims. So here comes the idea: Why putting up iTunes all the time, when i could make a mod with HardStyle in it?
That's when i came up with: HardStyle Halo
So based on that idea a friend of mine is now working on a total remake of Blood Gulch:
-Custom colored Warthog's
-Teleporters in Team-Color
-Colored/glowing Weapons
-Flags on Fire with the Flag-color as fire color as well (damage free ofc)
-Fire on the rocks and tree's around the map, in different colors (damage free)
-New gun's
-A massively powerful weapon at the middle of the map.
-A ring of Green Fire, surrounding the powerful weapon at the middle. (Very damageful)
-Of course a HardStyle playlist
-Some 3D Models around the map as; statues or party lights.
-Light effects, firework-like and Spartan Laser-like.
And some other new/edited features i can't recall right now.
Anyway that's how it started, a fully HardStyle/Party-like Remake of Blood Gulch.
But my idea's gone further now. I want more.
Put this concept into work, and create a whole new gaming-genre!
An oldskool feeling, in a modern game.
A genre that combines Futuristic shooter aspects with a LaserGaming touch, wrapped up in that oldskool Halo 1 Feeling, messed around in a modern Party-feeling.
A genre i prefer to call the "Trueskool" genre.
With this exciting, luminous renewing idea in my head i started thinking, thinking what could come of this.... The answer was clear: Halo: HardStyle Evolved!
What i want to create is a independent client, at first without the Campaign.
A client, replacing the Halo Maps with HardStyle remakes.
As you all can understand remaking all the maps is a hell lot of work. So if you are interested in remaking one of the maps for me, PM me and we'll discuss the details! Also please say in the thread what you think of the concept.
-THERE WILL ALSO BE MUSICLESS MAPS, just in case someone wanted to spread hate 'bout the fact he/she doesn't like HardStyle-
That's it i guess, cya later and i hope some will help!- WindShooter

What is HardStyle?
Either you are groping for answers, or you are asking God and listening to Jesus.

HardStyle is a music genre that came up around 1999 in The Netherlands, it's basically a melody line supported by a bass.Sparky wrote:What is HardStyle?

I'm more of a UK Hardcore listener, but yo, sounds interesting as fuck and i'll help with what i can, as soon as i get some free time.

I am no longer active to Halo or MGM, and don't guarantee a response on the forums or through email. I will however linger around the discord room for general chatting. It's been fun!

No shit, Sherlock!
I find hardstyle, like, i dunno... a little too slow for me, maybe? I should listen more of it.
>so dream a dream (which is in it a bit) is actually hardstyle..?
*hardcore, and i guess it's a remix of something else! Probably this.
Anyway this is a good example of what i'd rather listen to while playing halo. Way more fomenting for me.

For the people who'd like to know more about it theres a more native thread on OpenCarnage: http://www.opencarnage.net/index.php?/t ... e-evolved/

The music of those videos I would interpret as poor quality Eurotechno.
