Can you make a mod where its a giant maze and you start off with shotgun, pistol, and assault rifle?

Not to many walls because as the guy above he said that it would be laggy
but whoever makes the mod can design the maze

It's only too laggy if the walls are detailed too much. If they're a solid color, lag would be virtually impossible without making the map too big for a 16 player game XD

Do you want vehicle support? What about a roof to stop people from getting on top of the maze whenever they want, and maybe a bunch of ladders to get onto the roof? How difficult should the maze be?
I should probably get CE before I start asking questions...

Wouldn't matter if you get a mac pro, trust me halo engine limitation is 50,000 polies (Models * Weapon, BSP, vehicles * animations + plus particles + scenery) it can be more like a couple 3k-9k but then it can result in FPS lag if too much happens for the engine to handle.

Oh the Deepspace mod looks like it has been made w/ sparkedit. Those floors are scenery as well as the boxes. Plus autodoors are proximity "scenery".

If you have CE then it won't lag at all. Just make the maze walls part of the BSP, as complicated as you want. It's not bitmaps so much as collision that would lag a maze made with custom objects. Luckily BSPs are "built" in such a way the calculating collisions is much simpler. (Which is why it takes forever to build. You're bitmapping options would be weird though, but could be on the detail level of the grass in bloodgulch. Have to use repeating textures of course. Maybe throw on a couple decals though.

search for a maze on halomaps.org and post the one u like here and i will convert it :D cuz mazes are fun :wink:

Syperium: Can you go into the Mod Request forum, click on the Maze mod topic, and post something that states Syperium is currently in the car, and he is not going to be able to work on this mod...

I have one in the works already.

Have to fix it, because too many walls ARE INDEED laggy. D:

But after I fix that, it will be released. :O
