SotW #1!

So, I guess its the first ever Sig of the Week for MacGamingMods. First of all, we need a schedule. So, how does this sound to everyone:

Friday morning - Start contest
Tuesday morning - Contest ends, begin voting
Wednesday evening - Voting ends, winner announced
Thursday - Winner picks new topic/render/etc
Friday morning - Start next contest

This gives everyone the weekend to make the sig, plus 3 extra days. Then we get a day to vote and a day to decide on a new topic (the winner does, at least). This should be good enough. Also, when I say morning, I mean 12:01 AM, and evening is 11:59 PM. This is according to the EST time zone, where I am. We might also need a SotW winner userbar or mini-sig like they have on MGM.

Nah, Clanhalo has 2 or 3 different competitions alternating with 2-6 or even 10 people entering. Thier graphics forum is powering on just fine. Unlike here, where we have Halo, the 3 mod clans, General, and Mod request being the only active topics. I can only ask...

Was this place ever as truly alive as ClanHalo? It has the topics and forums, but where did all the people go? There are 755 registered users, but we can cut that in half by assuming some joined without intention of staying or were bots. So we get ~300. Out of those, maybe 30-40 people are active right now or at least check and comment once in a while. How is it that 250 popped from existence on this forum. Does nobody play anything but Halo? Halo [Demo] is the only thing still running this forum, imho.

MGM has gone through various games as being the most active. As those people moved to different games those boards became less active. Also, one difference between the users of ClanHalo and MGM is that besides the Halo Demo users, everyone talked to each other and played on GameRanger. Because of this there wasn't as big a need for alot of the topics you see in theHalo Demo section or at ClanHalo. An example, is when people post about testing a mod. This wasn't needed in the other groups since we were all on GameRanger and could test as we chatted.

Thats a good point. Almost all these games are GR compatible. Or all of them?

Anyway, CH uses Teamspeex.
