Wallpapers from Alaska

Post by P!ckoff » Sun Jul 26, 2009 5:07 pm

Here are a few wallpapers from pictures that I took and edited or made during my recent trip to Alaska.

Image

View from the back of our boat. Barely edited in Photoshop, mostly Levels editing.

Image

Texture test. Macro photo with heavy contrast and curves work, plus High Pass filter overlay.

Image

I've added a preview for this one because you've got to see it. Click the image. This was only cropped at the top to remove a little bit of orange plastic. Thats how close that sucker was. Just some cross processing used.

Image

Easily my favorite and my current wallpaper, You should download the pack just for this one. A cookie for whoever can guess how it did it.

Download it, Download it NAOUGH!

Wow, that bear must have been close...

I remember once in BC, I was on a bus trip to this kayak festival or w/e, and then this black bear cub comes and almost hits our bus. >.>

Ugh, I can't remember exactly what that's of. D: It's a faint image in the back of my mind. :|

You took a picture of something, possibly in black and white, or edited it in photoshop later on, desaturating it, adding a bit of blur, and using a brush or something to create the old photo look. >.> First guess anyways.

Not really. Believe it or not, the only thing I did was desaturate it and add a little tiny bit of a cyan gradient to the right side, just a smudge. Everything else was just crazy good luck with a crappy camera!

Good work!

I once had a bear walk into my back yard.
The police came with shotguns a d rifles but the bare got out before they could see it.
Another time I was helping to get a camporee ground ready (for scouts) and I saw a lone cub on one of the sites. We then chased it away.
The armaments which thunderstrike the walls
And monarchs tremble in their capitals.
The oak leviathans, whose huge ribs make
Of lord of thee, and arbiter of war;
Alike the Armada's pride, or spoils of Trafalgar.
