Importing Pelican into Bloodgulch

Before ever modding ANYTHING, make sure to right click on the map and click "Duplicate" so that you have a copy. Name the copy "bloodgulchoriginal.map" or something (i name mine "***bloodgulch.map" so it appears at the top of the list) then edit the one named bloodgulch.map. Always make sure to backup, otherwise, youll need to re-download every time you make a mod. Also, im pretty sure there is a copy of both b30 and bloodgulch. maybe just BG...

duplicate your maps then.
I did duplicate them. Somehow I made it so bad the application itself got a bug and refused to use the original stuff... I'm lost as to how that could have happened XP

And again, if anyone has successfully created this mod, I would very much appreciate it if he/she could email it to me ^^;

... It refused to use the original stuff? Thats not possible unless you corrupt the halo application itself... Which is stupid, because thats not gonna help on modding. Anyway, all you gotta do is right click the map, duplicate, and put one map away (this must be the ORIGINAL, unmodded bloodgulch.map). After that mod the other one to whatever extent. If it stops working, throw it away and duplicate the old working one.

Sometimes my halo gets funky, where it'll unexpectedly quit right after you open it. A trick that always works is opening up garageband. This also fixes the problem of sound not working sometimes in flash. Garageband is magical.

Mabye i'm just stupid but it wont work for me and how do i change hexeditors colour because i can't see the writing.

Also is there anyway to change what the pelican looks like, so it looks like a black hawk, because i'm working on an army mod and not sure if i can, because i'd like to have passengers in the helicopter?????

can i do the same thing for importing the Bulldog? i did everystep (except with bulldog) and it crashed. im thinking of changing the Banshee with the Bulldog maybe it will work

I attepted to import a tank into b30 (FULL VERSION BLOOD TO FULL VERSION B30, so no header changes needed), and when I am importing the meta into b30, there is no scorpion.vehi, just a scorpion_mp.vehi and a scorpion_mp.vehi.ehmrf, whatever that is. I picked the _mp.vehi and it seemed to work, but when I went to select the folder (entitled Tank meta) It came up with about ten error messages and then continued. When I went to Rebuild, It started to and then quit (I assume it didnt finish). The tank was not in the map. Some help???

It may be true that this procedure only works for Demo, which would be unfortunate, but sometimes that's how it is. Sorry I cannot help more.

Make sure that you are exporting the tank meta from Bloodgulch RECURSIVELY, as well as importing it into b30 RECURSIVELY.

Ok, this is really starting to get on my nerves. EVERY time I try to import something, be a vehicle, doesn't matter what it is, IT ALWAYS FAILS. The problem I always have is in Phase 7. The values are either never the same, or just don't work. I do the process, and when I go into my Demo to test the map, it tries to start a server and crashes.

My HHK may be screwed up too.

Why is Phase 7 so necessary? Can I go on without it? Does anyone know why my values in Phase 7 aren't the same (I do use the correct addresses)?
