Noobs: How To Play A Mod

If you are on a mac (which most of you should be): click on these things in this order: Macintosh HD (or whatever your hard disk is named) -> Applications -> Halo Demo -> Maps. If you have not messed with anything, it should say this, in this order: b30.map, bitmaps.map, bloodgulch.map, sounds.map, ui.map. Change the bloodgulch.map to something like Originalmap.map . Sometimes the maps that you download may be about a size of about 5.5 mb. If it is, and if it does not end is .zip, you need to get Stuffit Expander; you can get it here: Stuffit Expander Link. Now, the size should be about 13 mb. Get the mod that you downloaded, take it to the place where you changed bloodgulch.map to Originalmap.map and place it there. THE MOD HAS TO BE TITLED bloodgulch.map. If it is not, it will not work. There, now everybody knows.....

Here is a movie if the mod ends in .map.zip:
How-To-Install Movie

I will be posting a movie on how to if it ends in a different thing: such as .stix! Thanks,

You don't know the half of it. I was trying to show someone how to install a mod inside of a game, and when I told them to click on the mod once they asked me "what happens when you click on it once?" or something similar. I was dumbfounded.

It is very sad that this is needed, although then again, think about when we were just starting to mod, and we didn't know how to do this either. At some point we were just like these "noobs". It's annoying that we have to deal with trivial stuff like this sometimes, but that's only because we've already had the knowledge for some time now. Perhaps we should cut them some slack when they ask what seem to be trivial questions eh? Well, at least when it's posted with correct grammar (like using periods) and without spelling mistakes everywhere....
