The really really really quick guide

* Download Eschaton
* Download HDemoLauncher
* Open HDemoLauncher and locate the Halo game folder that you're messing around with
* File -> New Map...
* Name your mod and hit "Create". Leave "type" at "bloodgulch".
* Click the check mark next to the mod in the list to activate it.
* File -> Open map with Eschaton...
* Once you're in Eschaton, click the arrow next to "Maps (Read/Write only)"
* Explore and find something cool to modify
* Go back to HDemoLauncher and hit "Launch"
* Host a new multiplayer game

If the game crashes or if you can't see the change, try changing something else instead.

To new modders (like real noobs such as I was. Exept I learned how to make hdemolauncher work by my self) it can be really usefull.But to all you great modders out there well... Its not that usefull. By the way I love giving does tuts. LoL

What if they make such a small change unknowing of what it does that it will be indistinguishable during gameplay. Maybe instead, they should mess around with something bigger like weapons first? idk, but you definitely have good intentions :)

Yes well i think it can be a good start to learn how to change bitmask32s first.Yet your point is valide.Of course you can then start playing with other things in eschaton such as the weapons.Then learn from your mistakes.Is that a valid (how ever you write it) point?

(My point being is that if you make people start learning slow it makes it easier to grow.LoL that was a funny line!)

This lets people see what they need to get their feet wet with modding. It's meant to be short for people who are new to modding and want to start as quickly and easily as possible.
