i can do that in hex so can u if you change everything at each place to match the map its inported from same lines and such

there is an advantange to using hex to PMI no model corections needed :P

i want to try it with a CE map to see if i can inport it bitmaps and all 0.0 but idk

you would prefer to waste 1 hour instead of PMIng something in max 6 minutes? (130 seconds is enough)

lol yeah but u can PMI multiple items in that period to without rebuilding or model corection witch means that a limit to rebuilding will not be there becuase its not rebuilt so you can rebuild again if you suddenly deside to add something

Hexedit is regarded as skill. He says that Hex Gods CAN import stuff using hex, not will. Obviously they use apps because it is easier, unless they wanted to show off for no reason..

hex edit would help with some things... but todays modding apps got most things covered. theres almost no need to use hex edit except for the things that apps cant do. wich are few. modders now days only need a basic understanding of hex edit.

well where would we be without hex? eschaton is a gui that edits a maps hex in binary stream

so yeah thats how apps work they edit some of the hex for you

and importing in hex is actually the best way to import becuase of the versatility that you do not have to corect bitmaps or models aswell as if you PMI from a CE map you inport the skin intop the map thus its internal


well anyways there is no such thing as a hex god if there was it would be deox

I'll believe it when I see it. As far as I know, no one has done PMI via hex since the days of xbox editing (circa 2002 or earlier) and that's only guessing as I've yet to see documented importation (it may not have ever been done until tools came out). The only time you wouldn't have to deal with correcting bitmaps is because you didn't import certain bitmap metas knowing they were already in the mapfile. As for models, I highly doubt you know where to put them, how to separate the verts from the inds and how to calculate the offset to the raw data.
