ok so i have never modded before....
i sort of know what to do... not much.
to make say the pistol shoot tank shells what do i swap?
do i find the hex for the projectile of a pistol and swap with the hex for the projectile of a tank shell?
do i always just swap the first for bytes???

once i figure this out i think ill be able to actually have a proper go at doing some sort of simple modding. once i know even this small thing it means i can practice by swapping other projectiles then maybe swapping weapons and maybe even other stuff. haha
i guess it takes alot of practice and mistakes to learn what to do...
i have tried mucking around with it before but nothing ever seems to work. maybe im doing something wrong...

remember if you are swapping both 4byte codes have to be in the map or halo will crash and yes try swapping projectiles etc to start. :)

My suggestion would be to go here:

http://deifier.forumup.com/

Theres lots of replace/swap stuff in the Halo Demo: Mod Discussion section.

This is made for Mac. The whole forum is meant for Halo Demo for Macintosh.

Many thanks to the people who have made my years on MGM and on Halo Demo so memorable.
