Blazing Music Network, Inc.

Post by Sparky » Wed Feb 16, 2011 6:28 pm

Hello, gentlemen. All your music is belong to us. Make your time.

Well, no, actually, I'm starting a business called Blazing Music Network, Inc., and here's the web site, still in development. I wrote that song on there, and used my pseudonym that I use for my compositions. I also made the fractal background picture.

All media on the site is copyright Blazing Music Network, Inc. I'd appreciate your comments :D

Here's my arrangement of Mars, the Bringer of War, for trumpet ensemble (9 trumpets). It's a preview, just made for fun, not very special, an unfinished recording...

nice songs, what did you use to create the first one?
The second is obviously recorded, nice playing!

Also, what does the business do?

http://blazingmusic.net/media/users/rob ... 0Watch.mov - Live in-house performance (the audience was our puppy)
That sound file should be downloaded to your desktop, because it is quite large, and is about 28 minutes long. I played three different themes there, one after the other. Can you identify them and describe how I used them?

Hint:

Why?

To poke fun at this revelation:
http://blazingmusic.net/media/users/rob ... perman.mp3 -- the krypton theme is heavily based upon Thus Sprach Zarathustra, which was used in the movie "2001". Of course, this is only because John Williams is a darn plagiarist, but that's another topic. I could point out dozens of examples in support of that statement... and I'm not the only one who knows this lol. (The superman theme also uses the same exact theme as Thus Sprach Zarathustra, at least in the beginning... the rest of it naturally comes from other scores. lol. John Williams you tart.) -- like at 3:57 here at the end of the superman theme youtube video I posted, those chromatic notes in the background are exactly like the passages towards the end of Mars, The Bringer of War from the Planets by Holst, where the strings probably have the exact same passage. This John Williams guy is a real joker, lemme tell ya.... eh, or don't lemme tell ya, lol.

I record myself playing trumpet in multi-track using GarageBand. Sometimes I use a post-processor called Hear, which is the newer version of OSS3D.

Here is the welcome music to people at the site. This can currently be found at the top left of the page: http://www.blazingmusic.net/media/blazi ... _theme.mp3

That would be me speaking and me playing the trumpet in multi-track.
