You can work hard on anything and still have it be fucking terrible. there's plenty of examples of this, and Reach is one of them.

There was no knowledge of halo's, or the forerunners for that manner.Mgalekgolo wrote:The thing that I hated the most was that there was no time on the halos, and barely any forerunner shit.
lol.Vegerot wrote:Fuck you man! What makes me angry the most is not that you have insulted my favorite game, it's that you insulted their work!!! Bungie spent 3 long and hard years developing this game. As I have applied to gaming companies I have seen that game creation isn't fun! They have to wake up early go to work, and work they're asses off like the rest of us. But they have the whole world counting on them, which puts a lot of pressure on them. That is one hard-as-hell job to do. Of course sometimes they have fun at their jobs, but so do we. They just get to broadcast and publicize whenever they have a fun day. Even games that are not my favorite, like Call of Duty, I acknowledge their work that they put into it, I see that "wow, they spent hundreds of hours every week trying to make this game for us to enjoy". Okay, so stop hating on Halo and Bungie. How about this, you get 100 of your friends and try to make a game REMOTELY as good as Halo: Combat Evolved (the game that came out 10 years ago), and I will admit that you are right.Mota-Lev wrote:What happened? Lose in snipers, swat or whatever gametype you play?
Bungie worked hard to make this game, don't try to make it anything less than it is.
Hype is usually just journalistic profit.Noodle wrote:I thought the game was OKAY, but overall it wasn't as awesome as it was hyped up to be.
