GhR mod: Udmurtia Spetsnaz - fantastic!

As you know - I only pop in probably once a year now. But I'm amazingly glad I have just done my annual 'visit macgamingmods' ritual as I found this great mod for Ghost Recon!

Udmurtia Spetsnaz is a terrific modern Russian Army mod that has a set of wonderfully done Spetsnaz characters and Russian weapons.



I'm excited about this as I am involved in a Russian themed airsoft team - Team AKA.

So I have a nice cross-over here, and am already making up an airsoft uniform to play one of the characters in Udmurtia Spetsnaz in our next airsoft event (will post up photos).

I find it amazing that every year I am provoked to dust off my Ghost Recon CDs and load it up again because of my vist to macgamingmods...

I mean - just how old IS Ghost Recon now - yet a new mod of nice new (well researched and authentic) Russian Army uniforms gets me rummaging through my attic for my 'Gold' CD set of Ghost Recon! LOL

Udmurtia Spetsnaz is superb. You can make up a small squad of several different types of Spetsnaz units - in various types of authentic Russian camo uniform (pity there is no VSR camo - but you can't have everything).

I have actually taken screen shots from this mod to post up in my team's forum to show some ideas for uniforms we can wear when playing airsoft!

The Ghost Recon modding community is still alive. Ingeloop always does interesting mods and uniforms.

always makes me happy when people like the mod work.
people have mailed me and said they were happy too.

i have had this mod over a year on my HD, working with it from
time to time. then i got the final help from GWDS to shape up Migryders
missions from P1.

to tease you even more i have lots of chrs made with russian camo and
from several diff. units.

my main modding disability is that i can not make missions, Mac do
not tolerate IGOR

so if someone here should feel like creating three missions, please contact me, im in page 7 in the memberslist.

the idea could be hostage rescuing with Spetsnaz unit Fakel, a very
special unit with a very special orange,grey and black camo

so once again, im glad that the Udmurtia Spetsnaz have recived so
many good comments.

OK - some of you may find this sad, but I'm currently collecting real uniform bits and pieces to make up a 'Udmurtia Spetsnaz' outfit for my next airsoft outing!

(For those that don't know, airsoft is kinda like paintball but using replica guns which fire plastic BBs.)

I have picked a particular character from the mod and am basing my 'loadout' on him...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Just wanted to update everyone here about a little project I mentioned - my Russian Army airsoft milsim uniforms. In my last post I said I was hoping to replicate some of the 'Udmurtia Spetsnaz' uniforms for playing airsoft games (I belong to a team that models itself on modern Russian Army kit). SO I thought I would post up some pictures...

First of all, here's a couple of my Russian 'guns' (airsoft electric guns, or AEGs):-

Finally, a few of us are competing in a game at the end of this month dressed in our black 'MVD' CQB uniforms - I'll ost some pics.

'US' is still a great mod for Ghost Recon classic!

Cheers! I wear the mask for when we are doing 'CQB' (close quater battle in houses) - as the BBs can really sting when you are hit close up!

The camo on the bottom is called 'Fleckar D' and is a Russian copy of a Danish camo. It was used by the Russian paratrooper scouts - which is what my uniform was based on. Unfortunately it was a bit too new to have been included in ingeloop's mod (and isn't Spetsnaz)... This is my summer camo, the light greens work really well in woodland.

I hope to soon complete my uniform loosly based on one of ingeloop's mod uniforms - a black MVD CQB outfit. I just recieved my new mask for this outfit from Hong Kong...



This one has a small fan built in which stops the goggles fogging up during play, and my beard doesn't poke out as much with this one too (...and it looks quite cool)

im working with a small mini mod called Russian Marines and will
also have some specialists from the VDV (paras) with the russian
type of flecktarn camo.
the marines will wear the green/white KLMK suit.

.....I am a very happy man! Terrific news there Ingeloop, good luck with that....

Of course this now means that Ghost Recon Classic will continue to stay on my machine! (AGAIN!) - I keep taking it off thinking it's finally done...But no, it keeps creeping back! LOL
