:The MGM Weaponry Collab: - Release Imminent
I was just thinking, it's been quite some time since we've had any kind of major collaborative modding project here at MGM, and I'd like that to change. So I'm deciding to organize a collab for any member of the MGM community that wishes to participate. We have a lot of new modders and they appear to be learning quickly, so I'm hoping to see some cool and original things here.
The collab is going to work like this: Anybody interested can sign up to modify one of the standard Halo weapons. After your modifications are complete, dump the modded weapon tag in an unmodded bloodgulch map and PM me a download link. When everybody is finished, I will extract all the modded weapons and put them together in one single awesome map, which will then go into beta testing. Once in beta, the testers that have signed up will decide if there are any weapons that need to be removed or edited. If you decide to participate, please try to make your submissions unique and balanced. CE content is not allowed, unless you're Fonzie and you're making it yourself on your dark side computer. I'll be looking forward to seeing your mods!

NOTE ABOUT DEADLINES:
There are no exact deadlines for this collab. Just take your time, make a good quality mod, and make a download available to me when you're content with your work. When all of the mods are in, I'll assemble them as one big mod, then we can start the beta testing.

See my long post on page 11 to see how things are going to work after everybody has their mods finished and sign up for newly opened positions!!!

I call the noob cann- I mean fuel rod gun. And by dump you mean what? Since its already in an unmodded map that became modded, what would the difference be? I was gone for too long of the Coding Age. I would assume I should extract the weap tag and then import it into an unmodded map? I still dont see the point. I also suggest my weapon should be hidden in a way that cannot be accessed through a normal match (only while messing around with friends), as my zany ways will probably make it one hit or far too powerful.

Oh, I just meant if you were to mess around with the tags in your modded map, it'd be nice for each wep to be in it's own "clean" map. For example, my FT mod is going to render the PP and PNs in the map unusable, since it makes use of their tags. Anyway, I'll put you down for the fuel rod

Who cares about power? The entire Killtacular mod had 1-3 shot weapons. Anything could kill you in less than a second given a little skill. But when everyone has noob weapons, then technically nobody does.
