If it's a battle rifle, then little pellets won't be realistic. Besides the rifle shoots multiple pellets at a time silly.

I am using blueprints made from the Halo 3 model to guide me

But, thanks' for the support guy's. Last night I carved the triangle detail into the other side, It turned out better then the first side (I'm gonna need to get a dremel for that ).

Im going to try and get my friend over here today to help me with the rails and stock. It's a co-operative project so I can't do too much without him.

For our next project we were thinking of making the ODST SMG and / or the ODST Magnum. Other ideas are welcome

I think clay is the best way to go for this one, unless you are good in shaving the wood. And the back of the rifle is wayyy off, so you might want to fix that.

As I have posted before, the back of the rifle is NOT FINISHED.
It still needs the clip.

People need to stop assuming this is completed.


Here's what I need to do (again)

Move forward rails
Attach rails
Finish stock
Put mini barrel in
Clay and detail handle
Clay and build up forward grip
Cut that small bit out near the handle
Round out the top of the gun
Fill in all the seams with clay, and detail
Sand down clayed areas with increasingly raising grits of sandpaper
Paint

As for making casts ect...
I have 2 options:

Option one: Make a silicon mold and fill with two part plastic resin [EXPENSIVE]
Option two: Build a vaccu-form machine and make plastic forms (this is the same method they used to mold the stormtrooper costumes in star wars) [CHEAP]
