>_> I can't even USE Pearl now, due to the fact that all my halo full maps are modded.

Back ups. Learn to love them. Seriously, keeping archived copies of the original map files is lesson one for most modding.

Sure! and don't feel an ass for such a thing!halodudefreak wrote:sorry to be an ass but im a newb and im confused on how to use it. can someone help me please?
To convert a CE map with Pearl you need:
- a CE map (duh!!

- halo full version's Maps folder.
if you have those two things, then start Pearl.
... it has a pretty intuitive gui. there are three buttons on the window:
Target: it lets you select the CE map you want to convert.
Full Maps: it lets you select the maps folder from halo full*.
Convert: it lets you convert the CE map to demo once you selected both the target and the maps.
* in halo universal binary, the last build of the game, the Maps folder is located into the application.
to reach it you got to ctrl-click the application and choose "show package content" from the menu.
Maps is located in Contents > Resources > Gamedata. You can create an alias and put it outside the app, so you can reach the maps easily when you want them.
In older halo builds, the Maps folder is located inside the same folder as the application. <_<
...so, uh... >_> yeah, is there still something you don't get?

Re: [App] Pearl 1.2
Why is my Pearl going all 'NilObjectException - must shut down' on me?

Re: [App] Pearl 1.2
I've got another Pearl version in development, but until it's complete:
For people having crashing issues at start up, go to: Your Home Folder -> Library -> Application Support -> Delete the file named "Pearl.prf"
That should reset everything and Pearl should start working. I know what's causing this issue and it will be fixed in the next version.

Re: [App] Pearl 1.2
not sure why. but when i use pearl, instead of crashing, it keeps making the map, the longer i leave it, the bigger the file gets and it never completes even when the bar says it's done o_O
EDIT: figured it out, the protected maps...figures <_>

Re: [App] Pearl 1.2
That particular issue is due to meta offsets not being linear. I've already fixed that problem when I rewrote the back-end.Kohaku Anastasio wrote:EDIT: figured it out, the protected maps...figures <_>
