It's not free, like XBL, but I think it's a pretty fun game. I remember playing EV Nova by Ambrosia studios and it was awesome, so this is iike that but a million times better graphics and more in depth. And it's online! MGM needs to all be Gallente citizens, NOW.

Re: EVE Onine
my friend plays this. a LOT. pretty much doesnt play xbox games except NFS:Most wanted. which he still hasnt finished...
I played for two months. then i said "frickin... im getting the old comp back and it will definitely not play" and set a skill that would take 4 months to finish. so hooray for that. if i ever go back (i might...) i would definitely excel at drones for a person of my level (by level, i mean wealth, ship class, items, worth, etc. there are no actual levels)
its three times more expensive then live though (how is live free, exactly?)

I played, for a day.
I'm not gonna pay for this...

The armaments which thunderstrike the walls
And monarchs tremble in their capitals.
The oak leviathans, whose huge ribs make
Of lord of thee, and arbiter of war;
Alike the Armada's pride, or spoils of Trafalgar.

That's only because it's confusing at first. >.>
Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with it?

Re: EVE Onine
Nothing. Its just, for those who dont care to figure out how everything works, they wont bother. For those that do, they are rewarded with a completely player-run galaxy and economy that they can almost freely run around in doing whatever they want to advance.Seafire wrote:That's only because it's confusing at first. >.>

Re: EVE Onine
Played it for a week. Got bored. Filed it under the "Ghey" category.

Therefore, everyone now has the full right to call Devious "Lazy", "Inept", and "Idiot who can't take 10 minutes to learn a game that in the end is actually pretty simple.
I SPENT 3 HOURS DOING THAT INFURIATINGLY BORING CHARACTER CREATION, AND STARTERS TUTORIAL MISSION. Despite that I saw myself becoming addicted and Quit before it was too late.
As for the fail of an argument regarding wood-working, just because what somebody makes does not necessarily have any use or purpose in life does not mean that you do not gain any experience, or positive gains from it. there's a whole community that proves my point
Yes but you are still putting my intelligence into question. You are saying that if I were intelligent I would play eve. Therefore, by saying that I am stupid not to play eve, you are saying that I am an unintelligent person.Seafire wrote:Again: Stupid because he won't bother to learn the game.
Stupid is the object, and learning the game is the subject. Sentence structure, learn it.
He cant get point's that make no sense or logic.Seafire (iBook G4) wrote:I was dumbing it down for you, because you can't seem to get the point.

Re: EVE Onine
Doing the tutorial is like looking at the instruction manual. Why do it unless you ABSOLUTELY need to. And for a video game, you shouldn't need to. Unless the game uses every button on the keyboard for a different function (and is not a text-based game). Which EvE does not. Mostly its mouse, nums, and arrows. With some shortcuts (like most games of this type have).Beast O' Teh Land wrote:Why would he not do the tutorial? o_O

Re: EVE Onine
Guess what. You get rewards for doing the tutorial, as well as a more developed city to start with.

Re: EVE Onine
The rewards aren't worth going through the tutorial for. I found that out the hard way. I pretty much mined my way up to a combat ship. Then I had some fun until my computer that could run it got taken away. Bleh.Beast O' Teh Land wrote:Guess what.
