The fact that this exists is the short answer.
We will have a resource because there will be players and old and new modders finding this site on Google. They will see how extensive our Halo Demo sections are and will decide that it would be awesome to have the same resources for their version of Halo, also.
Which came first: the chicken or the egg?
Which came first: MGM or mac game modding?
Which came first: HDM or halo demo modding?
It works both ways. Modders already exist. If there is a web site out there with a more user-friendly experience than the one I'm using now, I would tend to use that in addition to whatever other resources I'm using.
Resource. Think dictionary, encyclopedia, wikipedia, academic, collection, compilation, <insert thesaurus simile here>. Think about what improvements HDM has created for the MGM community. From my experiences with the handful of Halo CE and Halo Full modding web sites, those other community members could use a little HDM too. If registration weren't broken at halomaps, maybe we'd be able to advertise HDM there. HDM will give their community the ability to grow rather than remain stagnant as it does now (at least as far as I can see, with no registration at the only main Halo CE web site).
If this works, it will literally merge all these three user bases together, HaloMaps, MGM and HDM. I see only advantages to that. The only issue is to which forum NEW Halo CE modders will go; but they can check HDM's links to other sites page to find other Halo CE web sites also.
I don't know what you mean. You can use your browser's find function to quickly find a mod, and there is a table of contents for each mod database.olly12345 wrote:Seperate the Mod pages into First names or keywords so we can find mods please.
As it is, the search function doesn't really function well. Is this what you mean, and how would I fix this?
